Yesterday, Representative Joseph Fox came to Grant Christian School and read to our Preschoolers, Kindergartners and First through Fourth grade students. The kids enjoyed hearing him read "Fox in Socks" and seeing him sporting his matching socks!
He also spoke to our middle schoolers about the constitution and what a state representative's job entails. Thank you, Mr. Fox for taking time to come to Grant Christian School.

Please plan on joining us at The Grant Fine Arts Center this Thursday for a FREE presentation from internationally known writer, speaker, apologist and military aviator, Dr. Frank Turek. Mr. Turek will present amazing information on why you can believe the Bible. A favorite comment of the critic is that the Bible is a “2000 year old book of fables.” Come hear Mr. Turek provide rock solid evidence on why you can believe the Bible is the literal word of God. This lecture, followed by a Q & A session will give you confidence to be able to defend your faith. This is a great time to invite a non-believer, skeptic or the Christian that wants to know why we can believe what we believe. Please join us from 6-8. Doors open at 5:30.

GCS will be closed today, March 22, due to weather.

We had a special guest this morning for March Reading Month! Mrs. Sandy Haveman came and read us her mom's (Kay Hall) children's book "Summer Vacation at Grandpa and Grandma's House.

It's March Reading Month! Mrs. Deurloo, an author and a parent of two children at GCS, has been teaching our kids how to write a book, the different types of a book, how to make a storyline, etc. Our kids have been able to work on their books with their chapel groups. She shared with us God is the best author of all time, and most of us have the best selling book in our house, the Bible!
This past Monday we were excited to host local author Jill Barry-Cowan. Jill read to our Preschool through 2nd grade students her "Millie Dreams of Michigan" book.

Pajama/comfy day today! Spirit week has been so much fun!

Do you have a cool Principal? We sure do! Mr. Vander Zanden volunteers to cover lunch recess so our teachers are able to have their lunch time.

Not only did Mike Folkema and Mike Bouwkamp get some of our difficult maintenance repairs accomplished last weekend, Mike Kruithoff and the Kruithoff electric crew came in and wired some new outlets in the gym. John Veenstra and Dave Kooienga built speaker shelves and installed free TVs from Miss Whiteside's (STEM teacher) dad, for gym and music class. . Thank you so much to our hard-working volunteers who took time out of their weekend to improve our school!
