Our volleyball team is off to a great start this season!
It was a "build a fort" kind of a day at recess!
The preschoolers made green eggs and ham today after they read the book, "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss. They took some green eggs and ham down to the office to see if Mr. Vander Zanden and Mrs. Dickerson would like them. (They tried it and they were pleasantly surprised!)
Spirit Week is next week! Check out these fun themed days to help us build excitement for our Annual Auction!
Our 5th graders are practicing for the spring concert in April.
Our preschoolers celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday today!

Grant Christian will be closed Tuesday due to weather.
Today our preschoolers went on a bear hunt in the kindergarten room! The Kindergartners got to hide the bears and enjoy watching the preschoolers hunt for them!
The 3rd and 4th grade "chicken tenders" will now be collecting eggs every day, as the hens have started to lay!
A note from Mrs. Hutchinson:
Grant Christian School mama's....we are taking collections for an Art Project at school. Over the next few weeks we will be collecting articles such as these to create GCS 's own unique color wheel for our new Art Room! Please have your kiddos bring these to class the next couple of Fridays. Solid colored items work best...thanks and feel free to share with other GCS families!
Grant Christian will be closed again tomorrow, 2/23/23. Stay safe out there!

Our 3rd and 4th grade class are responsible for taking care of the chickens at GCS. We have 16 hens and 2 roosters. They started in the classroom as baby chicks. Every morning and at the end of the day the "chicken tenders" (three to four kids) go to the coop to feed and water the chickens, and collect the eggs that will be coming very soon. The kids love when it's their turn to be a "chicken tender!"
Reminder - Officer Ouwinga will be speaking with middle school students and parents about the trafficking issues in Newaygo County, as well as cell phone use. All parents are welcome. This will be following chapel at 9:00am. See you there!
Chickens and kids!
Our Kinders love having show and tell!
